Middle School in Switzerland: Math Quest 2008

Middle School Math Instructor Mr. Imad Aboulmouna and four students of 1st Intermediate: Youmna Naamani, Lucy Gavin, Omar El Baba and Adnan Soubra traveled to Lausanne, Switzerland to participate in the Math Quest 2008 from April 10-13th. While there, they competed with international students from all over the world and shared information about their varied cultures and traditions.
Each year, IC students are more prepared for this event with not only Mathematical Computational Skills, but also the principles of Logic and Critical Thinking. One of the biggest Math Quest challenges was the Math Trail in which IC students ranked 2nd among all the schools. They also ranked 2nd in Construction Team Work.
This experience gave the students recognition and certificates and the equally valuable chance to explore different cultures. Once again, IC students are working hand in hand to show the IC mission statement in action.
