Elementary student library committee members worked on posters to advertise the event with head librarian, Colleen MacDonell and Ras Beirut elementary librarian, Zeina Douba.

Everyone can agree on the human need for open space in cities. Children and adults need recreational areas away from traffic. The city’s air can be improved with more trees converting carbon monoxide to oxygen. The IC Library Committee is taking action on the issue in accordance with their decision to make an environmental outreach project their focus for the year. The Committee is made up of librarians, parents, teachers and students, and they will sponsor a panel discussion on Friday, March 12 to draw attention to and seek solutions for this concern. The discussion format includes time for questions from the audience.
Please join us at 5:00 P.M. in the Imad Taher Auditorium on the 4th floor of Rockefeller Hall. Doors will open at 4:30 so participants may view student work and informational kiosks.
