A teaching member of the museum staff served as a guide through pre-history in Lebanon.
Mrs. MaryHelen Gholam took her 6th grade social studies class to Universite St. Joseph Musée de Préhistoire Libanaise in Beirut to see first hand what prehistoric people left in Lebanon. All of the archaeological discoveries displayed at the USJ museum were found among the 400 archaeological sites here. The museum is an interesting combination of dioramas, recreations and labeled artifacts. Arrangements are thematic and in some cases compare and relate Stone Age tools to modern counterparts making the ancient relics more comprehensible. Mrs. Gholam prepared a questionnaire in advance for students based on her research of museum displays. The museum guide then used the questionnaire as a basis for her tour with the students. As is often the case in science, more questions were raised than answered.

Students were intrigued by the stratigraphic display behind them showing a recreation of layers of time and civilizations.
