Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2 saw an ambitious program of songs and dances prepared and performed by the “Singers and Swingers” under the direction of Randa Sabbah in Imad Taher Auditorium. The program lasted 90 minutes and featured 18 numbers! A number of new talents made their debut in the troupe of 17 singers and dancers. Tina Yamout and the Singers had the audience captivated with their version of AAna Bitnafas Huriyeh.” The Swingers dazzled with a raucous and colorful “Roxanne” from “Moulin Rouge.” May Obeid offered several stirring vocals: “What If God” and “Unbreak My Heart”. Samir Chami was impressive with two guitar pieces. Another dance offering was “Bagao’s Dance” which involved demanding choreography. Yasmina Sabbah, Yasmina Chami and Amir Haidar offered a beautiful and powerful “Con Te Partiro.” The evening’s finale was a song of future hope, “place des Grands Hommes”, offered by the entire troupe. What a pleasant evening of entertainment!
