For the second consecutive weekend, IC and ACS have successfully co-hosted a weekend of a spectacular sports event for students and fans. November 15th and 16th were filled with football games during the International Schools’ Girls and Boys Football Tournament on the football fields at IC and ACS. The shared organization was not the only new feature to this tournament. This year the competition included girls’ teams and Junior Varsity boys’ and girls’ teams. As was the case last week in the volleyball tournament, the emphasis was on a spirit of sportsmanship and congenial play. Again, we were fortunate to have a team from outside Lebanon travel to Beirut for the tournament. The International School of Aleppo sent girls’ and boys’ Varsity teams to compete. In addition, Lebanese schools included the Sahel School, Lebanon Evangelical School, Sidoon National School, Notre Dame de Jamhour and the AUB girls’ team.
