The objective will be self-respect; the method will be a job at which one earns money for honest labor. Painting and decorating walls around the Preschool play area with appealing graffiti of their own design is one project IC Summer Job Corps 2002 completed. President Charles set up Summer Job Corps for 5th and 6th Secondary students and will continue this year. His goal is to support parents who may wish to teach their young adults the value of money rather than funding all their activities without purpose. At an information session Dr. Charles asks students how they come by the money they spend shopping at the mall, buying a new CD or going to the movies. Summer Job Corps offers an opportunity to have cash and dignity. Students participating in Job Corps work 5 hours per day, 4 days per week for 3 weeks. Interested parties should contact the Secondary School office for an application.
