Dr. Charles addresses Middles School students and teachers.

For the third time this year, the amphitheater came to life with the sounds of people conducting business. Middle School students, teachers, and administrators staged their first all-school meeting for the year with the same high good mood as their Secondary School counterparts the previous week.

Dr. Charles took the opportunity to "answer students' questions about who that gray haired guy is wandering around campus." He told them about goals he has set for himself and for them and that he feels privileged to work at I.C. He plans to learn as much as he can about the school through visiting classes and chatting with students during their breaks. He praised students for their behavior and expressed his wish that they graduate from I.C. as critical thinkers able to solve problems and as people with a strong work ethic.

Dr. Charles views using the amphitheater for all-school meetings as a way to strengthen the feeling of community at the College. Students responded with a round of applause at his suggestion that these meetings be scheduled monthly.
