Secondary students and teachers are invited to join discussions and critiques of books and movies without feeling another meeting must be added to an already busy schedule. The informal gathering of the Critics' Corner had its first discussion on Friday, October 5 with topics ranging from Catcher in the Rye, 1984 by George Orwell,On the Road by Jack Kerouac, Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, to Pet Sematary by Stephen King and Hard Times by Charles Dickens. The group convenes in the quiet shade of olive trees, hibiscus and the jacaranda in the front garden at Martin House. Interested secondary students and faculty are invited to the next meeting planned for Friday, October 19 during the second break. © 2003 International College |
